Excursion Ourika, you discover the Berber villages and the High Atlas mountains !
Departure at 8 H from Marrakech in a comfortable vehicle towards the Ourika Valley.
Despite its proximity to Marrakech which is 60 kms, the valleyOurika is preserved both by its nature and by its traditional way of life.
You discover this green valley with its gardens, its terraced crops, its beautiful earthen villages.
Ourika is very popular with Marrakchis, the inhabitants of Marrakech, and by tourists especially in summer when the mercury rises !
Excursion Ourika,it & rsquo; is a first stop at Setti-Fattma, typical village very popular for its waterfalls, its chestnut trees, its walnut trees and waterfront restaurants serving delicious tagines !
Setti Fatma, is also the starting point for many hikes.
The hike of the seven waterfalls is among the easiest and offers superb views.
We continue our journey. In a small mountain village, we have a mint tea with the locals before taking the road to the village of Imlil.
Excursion Ourika, it is going to Imlil to discover the "Moroccan Chamonix".
Imlil is the starting point for climbing the summit of Toubkal 4 167 m, the highest peak in Morocco and North Africa.
Imlil, superb mountain village which welcomes many hikers and visitors throughout the year. The village is located 1 740m altitude at 64 kms southwest of Marrakech. You will be surprised by the beauty and tranquility of this natural site. There are apple trees, cherry trees, walnut trees.
In winter, the snow embellishes the peaks and hamlets around Imlil. In summer, you appreciate the freshness and the limpid air of the altitude.
After lunch break, we take an easy walk in the shade of large walnut trees to the Aremd waterfalls located at 30 minutes walk from Imlil village.
By the way, we discover the superb Kasbah du Toubkal, a beautiful hotel overlooking the village.
At the end of the afternoon, we take the road back to Marrakech.
We take a beautiful road that runs along the course of the Oued Gheghaya which flows at the bottom of impressive gorges.
All along our route, some adobe villages clinging to the mountainside.
We then reach the beautiful valley of Asni and pass through the village of Tanaout.
After an exotic day, return to Marrakech.
• Departure from Marrakech in the morning around 8 in 4×4. • Head towards the Ourika valley. • Several stops for photos. • Walk for about an hour to visit the Setti-Fatma waterfalls in the heart of the Ourika valley. • Take the road again in 4×4 direction the mountains of the atlas to reach the village of Sidi-Farf. • Lunch break in the village. • Then head for the Imlil valley with its beautiful landscape with a view of the summit of Toubkal. • Return to Marrakech around 4.30 pm at your hotel.
